Each session includes:

🌸 Spring 2026 DD Soccer League 🌸
Registration Open through February 15, 2026
(or until teams are full)

This league consists of one practice (day of practice based on team assignment) and one game per week (Saturday). Practices and games will be held at Newton Park, with games starting promptly at 10:30 a.m. The DD League differs from the Instructional Program in that players are placed on a team that remains together for the entire season. Each team will have one or two coaches who will work with players to expand their knowledge of soccer and build upon fundamental skills.

Practice will continue to focus on skill development while introducing more game structure. Games will consist of four 10-minute quarters and will begin using a goalie. These games follow most of the basic rules of soccer that players will use as they progress into future leagues, including travel teams. There will be a referee assigned to each game (often an older player or high school student). While the referee is there to control the game, they are also instructed to help teach the players. You may see a referee allow a player multiple attempts on a throw-in so they can learn and improve.

At this age, our focus remains on having fun, learning the game, and building confidence. Scores and wins are not emphasized. Our goal is to help players develop an appreciation for soccer while encouraging children of all skill levels.

DD Players Need:
• Size 3 ball
• Shin guards
• Soccer cleats
• Uniform
• Water bottle

**A guardian must remain at the fields for the duration of practices and games. If a player becomes disruptive, they may be asked to sit with their guardian so the rest of the team can continue learning. We play in most inclement weather, with the exception of lightning or unsafe field conditions. Parents will be notified if cancellations or delays occur.**

🌸 Spring 2026 Travel Soccer League 🌸
Registration Open through February 15, 2026
(or until teams are full)

After the DD Program, players will move into our Travel Soccer Program. Travel seasons consist of 8 games, with teams traveling to away games and competing against teams from other cities. At this level, players are introduced to offsides and play in a more competitive environment. The focus is on continuing to improve soccer skills, learning to work as a team, and competing to win through high effort and sportsmanship. Our goal is for players to improve each season and, if they choose, be prepared to play at the high school level in the future. While competition increases, we still emphasize having fun, learning the game, and growing together as a team.
Travel Team Players Need:
• U9–U12: Size 4 ball
• U13 and up: Size 5 ball
• Shin guards
• Soccer cleats
• Water bottle
